Boris Archives - UWRC - Happy Smile - Monstery - Call Me Nobody - Keyboard - Holy Covers Boris Archives The Life of Boris the Bricksomaniac was launched in May 2006 as a quasi-weekly Bricks web comic. You can now find all old Boris comics at our Boris Archives. UWRC The UWRC (a ranking based on Andreas' bimonthly competitions) is now hosted here at the Home of Bricksomania. Thanks to Fabrice Duprat for inventing and originally maintaining this ranking and Juan Ignacio Fernández for updating the statistics in March 2012. Currently maintained by me :) A Happy Smile and Alphabetic Madness Originally published at the Bnnqil Ytjim blog in July 2006, Happy Smile is a set of 6 levels, each representing one letter of the alphabet. The very first week already saw me totally embarrassed at my home territory as Eckhard Rauch, Robert Billiau and Grace Kendall stole all the records from me. I have since managed to get a couple of them back... You can download these levels here. Current records: 1 BEGINNING 105 moves by Sampsa 30.05.2015 2 HAPPY WORM 54 moves by Robert 31.07.2006 3 IGNORANCE 55 moves by Eckhard 30.07.2006 4 GO FOR IT 61 moves by Eckhard 06.08.2006 5 AXE CLUB 145 moves by Sampsa 23.09.2010 6 BISHOPS 35 moves by Sampsa 30.05.2015 Monstery Horrible Monsters is another six-level set by myself, originally published in September 2006. Possibly because of the crazy-looking designs, some of the more accomplished players felt at sea, which gave newcomers like José Manuel Patino the opportunity to snatch a couple records. You can download these monstrously mad levels here, and probably remove my name from the record list for good without really trying all that much ;-) Current records:
Call Me Nobody Originally launched as a warm-up to Eckhard's Keyboard competition, Call Me Nobody is one really ugly level that makes Front Nine look like nice and friendly Bricks Jr. training stuff. The mini-competition that accompanied the launch was handily won by Grace Kendall; you can download this level here and try to beat the current record of 320 by Henru Wang. Keyboard 48 levels by Eckhard Rauch, launched as a series of monthly competitions over a period of a year and a half in 2006-08. The competitions were mostly dominated by Johan, myself, and a team of Jyrki and Robert (called "J&B" for some highly unclear reason), with both Hans Karl and Fabrice also claiming a couple wins. You can download all Keyboard levels - including 3 bonus levels known as "Keyboard 0" - here and find a Keyboard record list here. Holy Covers Two levels by myself, inspired by a humorous exchange in which I asked all sorts of questions about what would be legal in Bricks VII level designs and Andreas eventually preemptively told me that there should be no odd shaped magic non-1x1 master hole covers. Somewhat inevitably I responded by designing a couple levels with just that... so here it is: the REVENGE OF THE NEGLECTED AND MISTREATED ODDLY SHAPED MAGIC NON-1X1 HOLE COVER MYSTERY MASTERS!!!! :-) The records are currently at 183 and 54 moves for levels 1 and 2 respectively, held by Sven Bråmå and Johan de Koning.
