Holiday 10 is a special anniversary edition of the world-famous Bricks
Holiday series of unofficial competitions.
All levels were designed by Eckhard Rauch and Fabrice Duprat. Duration: Bricks Holiday 10 will commence on August 1, 2017 and finish on October 31. Intermediate results will be collected on August 31 and September 30. All deadlines will be at 23:59 Central European Time (UTC+2 in August and September, UTC+1 in October). Please send your .brk file to Fabrice Duprat before each deadline. Some intermediate statistics and rankings will be displayed on this site; after the competition, full results, rankings, solution history etc. will be added. Scoring system: Bonus points are calculated according to the original Bricks Holiday system: - green score = 5 points - white score = 3 points - yellow score = 2 points - blue score = 1 point At the end of the competition, the player with most bonus points is declared the champion. In case of a tie, all players tied for first will be champions; no tie-break rules will be applied in such situations. Additional rules: In case of a tie on moves, the level record will go to: 1. The tied player with least steps 2. The tied player with least records 3. The tied player with least competition points 4. The tied player with least regular points This competition is for individual players only - no teams will be allowed. During the competition, players are not allowed to give any hints that might help other players estimate their performance (including but not limited to hints about their scores on a level or group of levels, posting or indicating their total score, commenting on any non-"no brainer" feature of any level, etc.) Do not apply computer solvers to any level, partial level or modified level. Important notes: Please note that several levels feature the new elements (radiators, ice blocks, polarity switches and magnetic floors) that were introduced in Bricks VIII. You will need the latest version of the Bricks executable (Nolan Pflug's Bricks for Windows v1.5.3) to play these levels. Bricks Holiday 10 comes with a copy of this up-to-date version. Special thanks to Tom Sabbe for his work on the new Bricks level editor that supports these elements. Good luck everybody, and have fun! :) |
